Forbidden Forest

An original medieval concept project focused on narrative-driven keyframe illustrations. The goal was to push a dark, moody, and painterly atmosphere where environment, light, and scale carry the story. Two characters set out into a cursed, snow-covered forest, confronting a force long believed unbeatable. Their mission is to retrieve an object of immense power, the only means to destroy the devil of the woods, lift the curse, and reclaim the trade route lost to fear and ruin.

shot - 01

A high-angle shot reveals a solitary carriage pushing into the forbidden forest, crossing ground untouched for generations. The curse has rendered this land unreachable, forgotten. Snow falls lightly as the wind carves through the trees, and the environment appears frozen, blue, and eerily devoid of life.

Shot - 02

Seen directly from above, the carriage is swallowed by the forest. The constrained composition creates a feeling of isolation and inevitability, as though retreat is no longer an option.

Shot - 03

The horse abruptly stops, visibly unsettled. The warrior exits the carriage, hands and feet numbed by the cold. Massive trees close in around him, while human remains bodies and skeletons lie half-buried in the snow. The carriage lamp provides the only illumination.

Shot - 04

The mage and the warrior stand back to back, bracing themselves against unseen forces. The carriage that brought them here is gone, obliterated without a trace & leaving them with nothing but their steel, skill, and magic to survive.

Shot - 05

Close up of the warrior and the mage behind him. Their fate unknown!

Shot - 06

The entry path seen earlier has vanished, swallowed by the forest. Darkness deepens across the scene. In the distance, abstract shapes rise from the trees; silent, towering forms that suggest something ancient and invincible.
